หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Effects of Different Colchicine Concentrations on Latex Amount and Changes in Certain Stomata Characteristics of Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg. Seedlings In Vivo) ผู้เขียน:Wiwat Termkietpisan สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe effect of colchicine upon certain morphological characteristics of rubber tree (Hevea brasiliensis) seedlings aged 13 mth was studied. Different concentrations of 0.01, 0.02, 0.04, 0.06, 0.08, 0.1, 0.3 and 0.5% colchicine together with 1% volume by volume dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were applied once with different application times of 6, 12 and 24 hr. This arrangement was chosen to ascertain the optimal concentration and application time for the induction of polyploid seedlings. The results for the rubber tree seedlings at age 17 mth showed a significant increase in latex amount at concentrations of 0.01 and 0.5% of the mixture. In particular, the concentration of 0.01% was superior to those of the control groups without any change in the latex quality. At colchicine concentrations of 0.01 and 0.08%, the stem diameter difference 5 cm above and below the chemical-treated area was significantly larger than the control. The largest increase was at the concentration of 0.01% which was correlated with the observed latex amount. In all treatments, the number of stomata in the treated plants was significantly greater than those of the control, especially at the concentration of 0.01%, at which the highest number was recorded. The stomatal length was significantly smaller than the control in most treatments including the 0.01% concentration; furthermore, the width of stomata was less, although the difference was not significant and the length-width ratio of the stomata at 0.01% had nearly the same value as the control group. Flow cytometric determination of the DNA content of the control and the treated rubber seedlings was carried out. The results showed the control seedlings were all diploid with 2 n. Of the treated seedlings, the concentrations of 0.01, 0.04 and 0.5% colchicine gave a similar pattern of aneuploid cells, but also haploid plants appeared at concentrations of 0.08 and 0.3%. |
หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Modeling for Radial Distribution of Sap Flow in Rubber (Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg.) Trees) ผู้เขียน:Sumit KUNJET, Philippe Thaler, Pisamai Chuntuma, ดร.กุมุท สังขศิลา, รองศาสตราจารย์, ดร.พูนพิภพ เกษมทรัพย์, รองศาสตราจารย์ สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThis research improved the model for the radial distribution of the sap flux density in rubber trees. The objective of the study was to describe the radial variability of xylem sap flux in rubber trunks. The experiment was conducted in mature rubber trees aged 13 yr from clone RRIM 600, in a non-traditional planting area at the Chachoengsao Rubber Research Center from January to December 2007. The sap flow was measured by the heat dissipation method using home-made radial probes and then calibrated with the cut stems of rubber tree in the laboratory. The radial variability was modeled as a function of the depth into the xylem. Regression analysis was carried out using data on the sap flux density and depth into the xylem. The model used two basic assumptions: (1) young xylem (0–4 cm) has the maximum sap flux density and is stable and (2) sap flux density decreases linearly with the depth into the xylem (and thus older xylem) toward the center of the stem. The results showed that the model for radial distribution can be used to predict the sap flux density and to estimate the tree transpiration of different trunk diameters in rubber trees. The tree transpiration was highly variable with different girths of the rubber trees. |

หัวเรื่อง:ไม่มีชื่อไทย (ชื่ออังกฤษ : Respiration Rate and a Two-component Model of Growth
and Maintenance Respiration in Leaves of Rubber
(Hevea brasiliensis Muell. Arg.)) ผู้เขียน:Krissada Sangsing, ดร.พูนพิภพ เกษมทรัพย์, รองศาสตราจารย์, ดร.ศรปราชญ์ ธไนศวรรยางกูร, รองศาสตราจารย์, Eric Gohet, Philippe Thaler สื่อสิ่งพิมพ์:pdf AbstractThe future information of leaf selection for studies on respiration rate and leaf greenness, and
position variations of different rubber clones was investigated. Respiration rate and greenness were nonsignificantly
different between leaf position (leaf No. 1, 2 and 3) and leaflet position (left, middle and
right), but they were significantly different among clones. During leaf expansion, respiration rate per unit
leaf area declined with leaf age, but the differences were not obviously detected among clones. Leaf
expansion rate was sigmoid shaped curves, and increased with leaf age. Relative growth rate on an area
basis (RGRarea) of leaf declined with age. At fully expanded leaf of PB 235, RRIM 600, PB 260 and GT
1 clones, the greatest leaf area was found in PB 235, and the least in GT 1. For crop growth model
development and environmental response studies, a two- component model of growth and maintenance
respiration was used in leaves of rubber. Growth respiration coefficients were non-significantly different
(ranging from 4.928 ? 105 to 5.678 ? 105 mmolCO2 m-2) among 4 rubber clones. While, the greatest
maintenance coefficients were in RRIM 600, PB 60, GT 1, the least was in PB 235. In particular, strong
positive correlation between respiration rate and RGRarea was found for all clones. Maintenance
respiration was weakly related with leaf temperature, but growth respiration was not significantly related
with leaf temperature. |
